Land for Sale Asheville's Secret Conservation Gems- Photo Shoot
As chance would have it, we happened on land for sale that our eco-community minded clients will thrill to while out on a photo shoot on this brilliant April Day.
There were the gentle slopes, the trails to easy then steep climbs, the Old Growth Grandfather Tree, the south-facing meadow, the cascading falls, the moss so old you were awestruck, and beside it, an Appalachian chimney ruin and ancient stone wall; places where continuity reigns and tranquility abides.
Here are a few moments we captured along the way. Let me know if, like us, YOU are a person who "feels the spirit" of the Land. . .

Hi JaneAnne: That chimney kinda looks funny in the middle of nowhere - makes me think of the people who came before us. I wonder what the people who come after us will think of us.
:)
It is interesting to see the artifacts that are sometimes left behind... just like that chimney. There are a lot of stories to be told.. and it seems we have lost that type of "oral history" that used to go along with a given community. I certainly see things similar to this and I do "feel the spirit" of the land. My client and I had such an experience when we were looking at a very old property last week... it was right out of a fairy tale!
Matt~
Oh yes!!! Exactly. When I took that shot of the chimney, I was thinking just THAT...and i was wondering how to preserve that wee bit of the past...who will buy this acreage?...how will they honor the heritage...or will they simply plow over it, ????...
Joan~
You commented, "...There are a lot of stories to be told.. and it seems we have lost that type of "oral history" that used to go along with a given community." As I walked the land, I almost could hear those voices...and the artifacts communicated the story, as you suggest.
I want to hear YOUR story...tell me ..how was it right out of a fairy tale?
