Winds of Change
The zephyr of springtime
is but a waft of steam
that rose once
from the earthen bowl
-inspired-
and longing to emerge
as early summer's
blue-winged butterfly,
one reaching for the heavens,
as a breath of life-
a cobalt sprite,
riding the August breeze
for all she's worth.
( In Asheville,
storytellers call this
"alternative energy." )
