North Asheville Real Estate Report

"We are relocating to Asheville NC and want to know what to expect in home prices in today's real estate market," read the email we received just the other day. "Is this a good time for buyers to get a bargain?"

We often get emails like this. And so, we often check the real estate market statistics here in AshevilleNorth Asheville View in order to supply up-to-the- minute answers not based on our own positive emotions about Asheville.

You see, for many of us, living in North Asheville, where the skies are Carolina Blue and the people are full of life and creativity, is a dream come true ...It is about life on the GREENSIDE... and, about this,  we could be biased...(I'm smiling.) Wouldn't you be if this were your mountainscape view? (see photo)

Here is a sampling of real estate market statistics for a North Asheville neighborhood.

This is a neighborhood of "modestly-priced" homes in a sustainable neighborhood.  There are big trees, sounds of the mountains, and children playing.

Many of the homes in North Asheville have been updated with amazing eco-friendly features, as is the home shown below. North Asheville seems to attract buyers who seek quality of life- not only for the home they choose, but in education for their children and proximity to nature , golf courses, and downtown Asheville.

NOTE: Average price per square foot -about $170.
2010 sold prices are within 10% of the asking price.
AVERAGE DAYS ON THE MARKET: 74
