A dance with the land, that's Permaculture! And Permaculture as expressed at the Villages at Crest Mountain here Asheville includes a nod to eco-friendly land use design. That might sound like a complicated thing, But, as you will see in this tiny video clip, it simply requires that from time to time you "dance" with the land on which you live. Not to worry, this can be a delightful experience....just ask Clint, (seen in this tiny video clip) the Project Manager at the Villages at Crest Mountain demonstrates.
Here, while dipping his hands in a cool rivulet on a summer's day, he explains that the aim of Permaculture is to create a stable, productive system that can provide for human needs there at the Villages, and still integrate the land harmoniously with the residents at this amazing eco-community. " The lives of plants, animals, their nutrient cycles, climatic factors and weather cycles," he says.
" Using Permaculture technologies, residents here at the Villages can look forward to positive results when it comes to food, energy, shelter and the basic infrastructure Chuck Marsh (of Useful Plants Nursery here in Asheville) has put in place!"
