Asheville NC Real Estate - Smart Renovations 2010  include. . .  CONCRETE!

In the Asheville NC real estate market , where eco-friendly features such as concrete innovations and design trends add-value to residential properties, I have been asking, " Are you ready to discover one of the newest design trends that actually is as old as the Roman Empire? " 

Discovery :: The "New Concrete"- colorful, fine-fashioned, and with shining surfaces, the new concrete offers solutions in sustainable innovation that  I daresay could have astounded Caesar himself.  According to Wikipedia,  in the Emperor's day,  the "Concrete Revolution, freed Roman construction from the restrictions of stone and brick material and allowed for revolutionary new designs both in terms of structural complexity and dimension."

The Elusive Perfect Closing Gift    

Each year we brainstorm about "the elusive perfect closing gift" for our clients. We seek something representative of our personality as a real estate firm.

 It must be creative. It must be delightful. It must be eco-friendly and fun.. ..

 It cannot be a trip to the South of France (too expensive.) It cannot be organic peanut butter and locally grown jam in a basket ( nice, but not quite adequate to express the depth of our appreciation.)  . It has to be "just right"....

Anyone else with this dilemma? 


This year we happened on the perfect find for our nature-loving Firm.  That "elusive perfect closing gift" appeared as if by magic. Here it is (see graphic)-unique, original, creative and delightful. Best of all, this is a gift that keeps on giving.

In my Martha Stewart Living magazine, I just found this advertisement from General Electric that I just had to share with you. The Plant A Bulb promotion ends tomorrow, April 30, 2009, so please read on.

In the advertisement, the words 'The World is Your Garden. Celebrate the Earth by saving big on GE Energy Smart^® lighting... and plant a flower in the process.' ... and it ends with 'With each click, a flower blooms. GEProjectPlantABulb.com'

For every unique visitor to the site, GE will plant a bulb, up to 100,000, until April 30. All I had to do was click on this link and it stated that I had given a flower to the Earth. On this site, I could learn more about energy efficient lighting and get discount coupons as well.
