It’s Tomato Picking Time in Asheville!
(skip to bottom to see The Point)

Juicy tomatoes
ripe for a harvest-at-hand
early September.
This season, lucky for us, no glitches—
and that’s a very good thing,
for, around these parts,
tomatoes, picked fresh from the gardens,
still sun-warmed and blessed,
are prized ingredients
for simply sumptuous sandwiches—
lettuce and tomato for a start,
then finished with a dash of salt
on Granny’s home-made bread,
(as good as Granny’s tarts!)
xoxo

But here's today's conundrum:
Which tomatoes for supper shall we select?
The Garden Tomatoes?
Or those visions of loveliness
right from The Deck?
...choices...
Garden Tomatoes have lots going for ‘em:
They grow in a generous free-space,
with fertile loam, organic compost, and,
by JT’s grace,
the “perfect solar orientation ….”
Still, with the exception that our Deck Tomatoes
cloister together, (some say this is an iffy choice,)
the Deck Tomatoes, like those from the Garden,
have all the good wishes
we, the soil ,and the sunshine can provide
and, upon which,
the Garden Tomatoes thrive. . .
but wait!
xoxo
...choices...
Deck Tomatoes may be the choice we make...
Mind you, they actually groove on hanging out upside down
in a close knit and lively community-
and without a stake!
amidst
bees buzzing,
hummingbirds strumming
snapdragons coming
along with our family chatter—
—voices—
individual expressions
in red, white, green and blue dressed
until, at last, each of these blends in to the other
encompassed
by the black of night,
as the cicadae chime in with all the other wee creatures
who , for days and days and days
have been boldly busy bordering our mountain vista
with fragrance and delight
revealing to those who pay them due respect
their promise,
and to some,
Insight…
plus ....those Deck Tomatoes are closer to the kitchen!
(I'm smiling)
AND…WHAT is the point of all of this rambling about tomatoes?
Or is it even about tomatoes?
The point is....
that even what may appear to be the simplest of decisions (like selecting tomatoes for your supper) require thought.
Extrapolating from that, imagine how much more challenging life decisions, such as selling or buying real property must be, and how the expertise, compassion, and guidance of a real estate professional can help smooth the way to success.
