In the past four-plus years, since I discovered Active Rain,
I have closed ten (10 ) transactions I can attribute directly
to connections I made through Active Rain.

It's a prodigious reckoning...and now at 400,000- A Milestone.  I look at it as this moment as an appropriate time to talk about all the positives -- how AR ROCKS!!

These "positives" seem to have collected themselves around my BLOG  since I stepped out into the (ACTIVE) RAIN in 2006.. ..

NEWBIES...let me assure you,  I didn't accumulate those points all by myself, ya' know,but through a community of real estate colleagues....each of us individuallyand as a group (or groups) contributing to something very powerful online...not only in terms of outreach, but in terms of education...and meaningful connections. .

A good way into this AR experience, I can only say... "Rain Gods" and  RAINERS wherever you are...Wow!  
YOU  ROCK ... "

 WE ROCK...INDIVIDUALLY: When YOU  read, subscribe to,  comment and suggest a post YOU energize the entire AR network of colleagues.

 When you write "feature-quality" stories and tips you not only   make it hard not to comment, but increase the possibility of public awareness of a level of professionalism that many may not have understood IS OURS!  

  THANKS   for your comments and for "suggesting"  my sometimes ( yes even frequently) off-beat essays where, if you tune in, you may find subjects ranging from the poetry of landscapes to toxic waste upon them,

 

from Asheville's golf courses and eco-friendly homes, to golf courses that have earnedthe Audubon Sanctuary Certification ///to Tiger Woods' golf course community in Asheville...and Justin Timberlake's LEED Certified Golf Course in TN  to going green at home ....mixed in with photos and videos and stories about life as I know it.... 

BEING real as a real estate professional ,for me,  is about just HOW AR ROCKS!

Stepping out into the RAIN,  you can expect an umbrella turned UP that captures the most amiable surprises-really valuable real estate information, networking, learning,....and most of all,

 Y- O- U... all across the neighborhoods we know so well... neighborhoods far and near-  -  from Hawaii  Sally, Randy , Georgina and Kimo, the artist so rare....and all the Islanders... to Florida and Broker Bryant and TLW,   Ines, who got me thinking about art deco, and Sharon,  who got me thinking about DINGS, and Janie, who makes me want to get out on more horse farms than I have time to do, and  Lloyd,  and  Katerina (how does she find THANKS  ... Dave Roberts,  Wiliam Johnson, Jeff Turner , Brad Andersohn,  Jeff Dowler,  Russel Ray,   Roberta Murphy , Myrl  and Mike in Tuscon for photos and videography that inspire......and this is just to name just a few. . .THANKS to the old-timers at AR, some of whom you may not know and are a little hard to find,  Karen Hurst  who, way back in 2006,  taught me about Groups, to Jeff Belonger, who generously offers mortgage advice, to Carole Cohen, and thank you to The Charmingly Comedic, Linda Davis,  and Missy. I sure like your way of telling a real estate story.

WE ROCK AS  GROUPS:    In my opinion, Groups are one of the essential ingredients in terms of the success  of the Active Rain Community ROCK!.

What we see in Groups at Active Rain is a REFLECTION of a Bigger Picture ...

That is why I founded and moderate a number of Groups  at Active Rain: There's the Land Specialists, The POETS, the 1031 Investments and Ideas, and The Blog Writers Guild,

and the 1,000+ member  Eco-All-Stars Group  where you can find leading edge information about real estate trends, news and posts on the theme of Sustainable Innovation--Yes, and even on GREEN GOLF COURSES!!!...

The Eco-All-Stars is a group of very, very generous writers...who enjoy "passing the talking stick"  including:

 Mary Bigelow,( through AR we found out that we are long-lost cousins!) , and "Ms. GREEN" , Stephanie Edwards-Musa,    and Jeff G (this guy has lots to say and most of it is worthwhile, and "Right-from the-Heart" ,Sarah Cooper, and The Wise and Wonderful,  Joan Whitebook,   and Joni M.  (where does she find those cute little doo-dads she sprinkles around her posts?) and the author and master REALTOR Margaret Rome,  and sincere Jennifer F. and horse lover Tricia J (I collect her recipes)    and Dan (the Running Man) Cummings...Sylvia, who can tell you about Living Green in a Small Space,    and Penny Hull who will fill you in on  real-life examples of how energywise can save you $$$$  and Adam Gallegos who offers "a comprehensive guide to living green" .  

The Eco-All-Star Group, is a place where camaraderie reigns supreme. Founded back in November of 2006  just two (2 ) began a conversation. Dena Stevens  and me. I am shaking my head and smiling... we now have over 1,000 members still maintaining that congenial sharing of information.

I wrote my first post  at Active Rain The Value-Added Factor-GREEN Buildings are Good for Business  in September of 2006.  I was shaking like a leaf when I posted it. Didn't have a  clue what would happen next. ...but, along the way, as you now know,   it turned out to be a amazing. . Daily, I connect with awesome people, read  and learn more than I ever expected to, refer business and receive referrals for clients relocating to Asheville.

Again, I can only say.. ....Wow!  "Y'ALL ROCK  Active Rain!" ...Thanks so much to all for helping me achieve this 400,000 point  milestone!
